Remodeling Has Begun!

After much planning and anticipation we have finally begun remodeling the back area of our facility to create a "Fellowship Hall" of sorts. It unofficially began last Saturday when Jase and Cathy emptied the rooms to be demolished. On Monday, Tyler and I moved some of the big items (piano, pew, etc.). The plan is to take out the walls of two rooms in order to open up a larger area to be used as a Fellowship Hall. On Tuesday, Jase, Cathy, Laura and I went to price cabinets and counters (nothing cheap about that). It should be a helpful addition to our growing congregation. Our existing "room" was about 325 square feet (31x10.5). The total square footage of the new area will be about 730 square feet.

In the meantime, things are dusty, messy and noisy, but such is the price of growth. After the demolition, which is to be completed today, Tyler will come in and do the dry wall and painting with Mike O doing the electrical work. We will be calling upon some of the men to help put in tile, carpeting and cabinets (it will take about 5 weeks for the cabinets to come in).

It has been such a blessing to have the funds for this project. The Lord has truly been gracious to the church and it is our prayer that this remodeling will be helpful to the congregation.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Pastor Ed

Thanks for the pictures, Pastor Ed. It's great to be able to keep up from so far away.
